On Saturday 2nd November we were lucky enough to be featured on the front page of the GT Magazine (local Geelong mag). We chatted with Jemma Ryan, GT Editor about How Missta began and our journey has been like so far!
~~ The pair, both aged 28, grew up in Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove respectively and yet their worlds never collided in a major way.
“I guess you would say we were acquaintances,” Demi says.
“We followed each other on Instagram then when we had the kids two weeks apart we chatted via Instagram because we had more in common.” ~~
~~ “The hardest step is going from zero to one and deciding ‘are we really going to do this?’,” Melinda says. "In the end it was harder not to do it. That’s when you know you’re doing something right.”
Over the past two years the pair has done extensive research, including interviewing formula-feeding parents about their experience, to help deliver the most user-friendly product.
Melinda, a qualified make-up artist, brought some small business experience and Demi a wide-ranging marketing background but both say the learning curve has been steep. ~~
