One of our most common questions we get asked is 'How do I prepare my sterilised warm water for my Missta bottle?'
There are several ways to fill your Missta Bottle, #1 is the way we recommend!
It is important to fill your Missta bottle with the water temperature you want to serve it at as your Missta bottle is designed to keep the water close to that temperature for the next 12 hours.
#1: Fill your Missta bottle with approximately 250ml of boiling water and approximately 500ml of cooled sterilised water. We recommend keeping sterilised water in the fridge at all times so you can cool boiled water quickly.
#2: Boil water in the kettle and allow it to cool to the desired warm temperature. Depending on the amount of water in your kettle, this can take up to 1 hour to cool down.
#3: Boil the kettle several hours (up to 12 hours) in advance. (You can even boil a kettle of water before you go to bed, ready for the next day!). When it is time to fill your Missta bottle, press your kettle button to heat the water however don't let it get to boiling point, leave it on until the outside of the kettle feels warm.
Also, another common FAQ is: What do I do if the light is red?
If you fill your Missta bottle and the light displays RED, you have two options.
- Remove some of the liquid and add cooled sterilised water.
- Remove the Lid and allow the water to cool. (This will take the longest as each Missta bottle is made with the highest available grade of triple walled, stainless steel).
